Who We Are
Wishling ("we", "us", "our") is a price comparison service operated from India. Our app is available at wishling.in. This policy explains how we handle your data.
What Data We Collect
We collect minimal data to provide our service:
- Account data: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers.
- Saved list: Products you save are stored in your browser (localStorage) and, if signed in, synced to Firebase Firestore under your account.
- Search queries: Your product searches are sent to Google Shopping via Serper.dev to find prices. We do not store these.
- Location: We detect your approximate country via IP address to show relevant local prices. We do not store your precise GPS location.
- Usage data: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be retained for security and performance monitoring.
How We Use Your Data
- To show you price comparisons relevant to your country
- To sync your saved list across your devices (when signed in)
- To send price drop alerts you have explicitly requested
- To improve our service and fix bugs
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication and data storage — Privacy Policy

- Cloudflare: Hosting and API proxy — Privacy Policy
- Amazon Associates India: Affiliate link tracking for Amazon.in purchases — Privacy Policy
- Other affiliate networks: As we activate further partnerships, we will update this section with specific partners.
Cookies and Local Storage
Wishling uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to save your preferences, saved items, and recent searches on your device. This data stays on your device unless you clear your browser storage or sign in to sync it.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Delete your account and associated data
- Use Wishling as a guest without creating an account
- Clear your saved list at any time from within the app

Children
Wishling is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Wishling after changes means you accept the updated policy.
